Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the app Idle Magic Clicker: Fair Game on Google Play (package name idle.magic.tycoon.tap.game) by the developer Fair Idle Games by René Müller and to the app Idle Wizard - A Fair Play Game on the App Store (Apple ID 1521860288) by the seller Rene Mueller.

1. Who is responsible
René Müller (developer name on Google Play: Fair Idle Games by René Müller, on the App Store: Rene Mueller)
Address and email are in the legal notice (Impressum) at the end of this page.
2. The short version
- You don't need an account. Your progress and settings stay on your device.
- The game is free and funded by video ads. For this, I work with Unity and Google.
- Gameplay stats help me improve the game. For this, I use Unity Analytics.
- In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, personalized ads and gameplay stats only run with your consent. You can change your choice anytime in the game under Settings → Your Privacy Choices.
- In the US, you can opt out of the "sale or sharing" of your personal information in the same place (section 11).
3. Progress and settings
Your progress and settings are stored only on your device. I don't receive them. Android and iOS may include app data in your Google or iCloud backup; you control this in your device settings.
4. Consent prompt
When you first start the game in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, it asks whether you agree to personalized ads and gameplay stats. This prompt uses Google's User Messaging Platform (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Your choice is stored on your device and passed on to the ad partners. The prompt itself shows the full list of ad partners.
Legal basis (EU/UK): Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR together with Art. 7(1) GDPR (proof of consent).
On iPhone and iPad, the game also asks once with Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt whether it may track you across apps and websites owned by other companies. Only if you allow this do the game and its ad partners get your device's advertising ID (IDFA). You can change your choice anytime in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking.
5. Ads
The game shows videos that you choose to start, for example by tapping "Watch Video". For this, I use Unity LevelPlay and Unity Ads by Unity Technologies (LevelPlay was formerly called ironSource; ironSource is part of Unity) and Google AdMob by Google. For each video, LevelPlay picks which of these networks delivers the ad.
What data: your device's advertising ID (Android Advertising ID, or IDFA on iOS only with your permission), IP address, approximate location (derived from the IP address), device data (model, operating system, language, screen), app data, how you interact with ads (viewed, tapped, watched to the end), and diagnostics.
Why: to deliver the video, give you your reward, measure ads, prevent fraud and, only with your consent, show ads that match your interests.
Legal basis (EU/UK):
- Personalized ads and access to your advertising ID: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) German TDDDG).
- Without consent, the networks only show non-personalized or limited ads, using only the data needed to deliver the video you asked for and to prevent fraud (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is funding the free game; Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG).
Who is responsible: Unity and Google also process this data for their own purposes and are responsible for that themselves. Learn more:
- Unity: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
- Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Every ad also shows a privacy icon from its network, where you can request access to or deletion of your data.
6. Gameplay stats (Unity Analytics)
I use Unity Analytics by Unity Technologies to understand how the game is played, for example where new players stop or which spells are popular.
What data: a random installation ID, IP address, approximate location, device data, game events (such as progress, level, spells and cards used, videos offered and watched, session length), and crash and performance data. I don't link this data to your name; the game doesn't know your name.
Legal basis: In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Elsewhere, my legitimate interest in improving the game (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); you can opt out anytime.
Turn it on or off: Settings → Your Privacy Choices. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, gameplay stats are part of the consent prompt; in all other countries, you'll find the "Gameplay stats" switch there.
Access and deletion: The game has no accounts. That's why I can't link gameplay stats to a person, and I don't keep extra data to be able to do so (Art. 11 GDPR). You can request access or deletion by email to the address in the legal notice. If I can find your data with the details you give me, I'll delete it; if not, I'll let you know. Either way, Unity deletes the data after 13 months.
Unity processes this data on my behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). It is kept for 13 months by default.
7. Ratings
If you rate the game from inside the game, this goes directly through Google Play or the App Store. I only see the public rating.
8. Data security and transfers outside the EU
Data security: The game has no servers of its own, and I don't store your data myself. Everything the ad and analytics services send from the game is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS). Unity and Google protect the data they store with technical and organizational measures. Gameplay stats only use a random installation ID, not your name, and I only see them in Unity's dashboard, which is protected by my login.
Transfers outside the EU: Unity and Google also process data in the US. This is based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU Commission adequacy decision of July 10, 2023) where the recipient is certified, and otherwise on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).
9. How long data is kept
- Progress and settings: until you delete the game.
- Your privacy choice: on your device until you change it or delete the game.
- Gameplay stats: 13 months at Unity.
- Ad data: according to Unity's and Google's rules (links in section 5).
10. Your rights (EU/UK)
You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), correct (Art. 16), delete (Art. 17) and restrict (Art. 18) your data, to data portability (Art. 20), and to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)).
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where I process data based on legitimate interests, you can object at any time, through the in-game settings or by email.
Requests go by email to the address in the legal notice. Because the game has no accounts, I can't identify you without more information (Art. 11 GDPR, see section 6). For ad data, the privacy icon in the ad works best: Unity and Google can identify you there.
You can also file a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the authority responsible for me: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und für das Recht auf Akteneinsicht Brandenburg, Stahnsdorfer Damm 77, 14532 Kleinmachnow, Germany, https://www.lda.brandenburg.de. You can also contact the authority where you live.
11. Notice for US players (including California)
For personalized ads, I pass identifiers (such as the advertising ID), approximate location and ad interaction data to ad networks. Under some US state laws, this counts as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. I don't sell your personal information for money.
You can opt out under Settings → Your Privacy Choices. You also have the right to know, delete and correct your personal information; requests go by email to the address in the legal notice. You won't be treated differently for using these rights.
12. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13. If you live in the EU and are under 16, you may only agree to personalized ads with your parents' permission; otherwise, please tap "Do not consent".
13. Changes
When the game changes, I'll update this policy. The current version is always available in the game and at https://fair-designed-games.com/idle-magic-datenschutz/.
Datenschutzerklärung
Diese Datenschutzerklärung gilt für die App Idle Magic Clicker: Fair Game bei Google Play (Paketname idle.magic.tycoon.tap.game) des Entwicklers Fair Idle Games by René Müller und für die App Idle Wizard - A Fair Play Game im App Store (Apple-ID 1521860288) des Anbieters Rene Mueller.

1. Verantwortlicher
- Unity: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy
- Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy und https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
In jeder Anzeige findest du außerdem ein Datenschutz-Symbol des jeweiligen Netzwerks. Darüber kannst du dort Auskunft oder Löschung verlangen.
6. Spielstatistik (Unity Analytics)
11. Hinweise für Spieler in den USA (u. a. Kalifornien)
